Personality : Shuhei is a very mysterious Shinigami. His menacing smile combined with his use of sarcasm and mocking politeness makes it very difficult to tell what he is thinking. He is very laid back and never looses his temper. He has great knowledge of psychology which allows him to manipulate his enemies, causing them to loose their heads or turn against one another. He enjoys toying with peoples minds very much, however he rarely uses his skills for personal gain. Many find his appearance and demeanor unsettling and makes it very difficult for others to trust him. Though underneath this mischievous exterior is a very kind hearted person. He is loyal to his friends and would go to great lengths to help them. Even if it means doing something bad or illegal. He is a strong believer in the greater good, so he has no problems with breaking the law so long as the cause is just and the outcome is good.

History
Life in Rukongai was fairly difficult for Shuhei. Being one of the few children to possess spiritual energy required him to eat daily which proved to be very difficult considering he was an orphan. He had to steal and con people out of their money to survive. He was caught and beaten many times for stealing. despite how terrible his life was, he enjoyed the thrill it gave him. He lived in poverty for seven years until finally, he was accepted in to the Shinigami academy.

Life in the Shinigami academy was relatively easy. At least compared to his life on the streets. The easy life proved to be fairly boring for Shuhei, so he was often causing trouble by conning other Academy students to do embarrassing things, or pitting one against another. He became known as a manipulative asshole, but he didn't really care what others thought of him. He was care free now that he was a Shinigami, and a damn good one at that. He was usually second or third in his class each year. He could have been first every year, however his laziness got the better of his most of the time. The only reason he was able to get second or third was simply because he was naturally talented. During the final year at the Academy, he was the first to unlock his Shikai. His classmates were both happy for and jealous of Shuhei for his achievement. With his newly attained powers, he graduated from the Academy early and went on to join the fifth division.

He rapidly rose through the ranks and within two years he became the fifth division Lieutenant. He was known as a prodigy, however he was also known as a lazy runt. He was looked down on by others because of his age and was given no recognition or sympathy by other Shinigami and so he was a loner once more. Finally becoming sick of never being acknowledged, he decided to strive to become a Captain. Only then would he gain the respect he thought he deserved. He began his training and after ten long years he had mastered Bankai. With this he qualified to become a Captain, and lucky enough the Captain of the third Division had just recently passsed away. He applied for the position and was granted the seat. Many believed that the sudden death of the Third Division Captain was suspicious and secretly blamed Shuhei for it. Though it was never proven.

Strengths : Shuhei is very intelligent and uses is Silver tongue to psyche out his enemies by taking advantage of their emotional states. He also never looses his own head, not allowing others to use the same psychological tricks as he uses.

Weaknesses : Shuhei tends to drag his fights out too long instead of ending them quickly. His desire to toy with his opponent could grant his opponent enough time to discover a weakness in his defenses, if he has one at all.

Kumoru's true form is that of a Chinese style Dragon. Most of its features are different shades of blue, except for its mane which is white. Its mane constantly exhausts a white cloud like substance which darkens if Kumoru is angered. If angered enough, the clouds will spark with lightning. Komaru is usually mild tempered and easy to predict however he is very hard to reason with when he becomes angry.

Inner World
Kumoru's inner world is whats known as Cloud Space. It is a surreal realm in which gravity is distorted and everything is in constant motion. Fluffy white clouds fill the entirety of the world and can change almost instantly in to different kinds of clouds that create various forms of weather. Massive planets float in the distance and orbit around the center of the Cloud Space, where Shuhei first appears when he enters the Inner world.

Shikai Appearance : No change to the blades appearance until the ability is activated.

Shikai Abilities : When Shikai is activated, Kumoru's blade becomes whats known as a Reiatsu Cloud. It is a substance that bears all of the normal qualities of a cloud, however it is harder than a normal Zanpakutou which allows it to cut through nearly any substance and is as light as a feather. It is normally shaped to appear as a normal katana, however Shuhei is able to manipulate its shape as well as produce more Cloud from the guard to form larger shapes. The amount of Reiatsu Cloud he is able to produce is however limited.

Bankai Name : Kumoru no Unkai

Bankai Appearance : Upon activation, Shuhei's sword will explode creating a vast amount of Cloud. A new sword will be formed afterward from the Cloud.

Bankai Abilities : After activating Bankai, the limit upon how much cloud he is able to produce is lifted and he is able to produce a near infinite amount of cloud which gives his Bankai its name Unkai, which means Sea of Clouds. The Clouds produced will go through several stages before deactivating for the duration of the topic. The first stage is of course its usual Cloud state which possess amplified versions of its normal Shikai abilities. This stage is known as Saturation. During the Saturation stage, the clouds created by the initial explosion will absorb the spirit particles in the air and grow in size, density and power. When the clouds become fully saturated the second stage will begin.

In the Second stage of his Bankai, the clouds will begin to produce rain. Shuhei is able to manipulate the rain produced by the clouds to create various water based attacks as well as produce multiple water based blades which he can manipulate freely. The Reiryoku within the rain will mix with all other water sources in the surrounding area amplifying the strength of his water based attacks. When fighting against an opponent who uses water based attacks, the Reiryoku within the rain will cancel out the Reiryoku in the opponents attacks nullifying them granting Shuhei a great advantage in battle.

There are two third stages to Shuhei's Bankai. Shuhei has the option of choosing which one to activate and when, however both of the third stages can only be activated for a short amount of time and once they deactivate, Shuhei's Bankai will deactivate all together. The first of the two causes the Clouds to create mass quantities of lightning which Shuhei can manipulate freely. The second causes the rain to become snow granting him a set of ice based abilities. All of the abilities granted by Shuhei's bankai are relatively large scale and drain an incredible amount of Reiatsu from Shuhei limiting the use of his Bankai greatly. Activating the third stage of his Bankai will cause him to become greatly weakened for a short while leaving him almost defenseless.
